A LITTLE ABOUT ME

m m carpentry was founded in 2000 by Michael MacVean.

​

Having always held a passion for woodwork, Michael obtained a first class degree in three dimensional design. Following this he worked at Stewart Linford furniture, where traditional materials and techniques are used to create one-off hand made pieces. Michael then continued with his studies completing an MA in furniture design and technology. Whilst on this course he won the ASFI design award for creating a modular desk system. After this he worked at the world renowned Thomas Heatherwick studio. As part of the small design team, Michael was involved in the designing and completion of many public installations.
